The amendment before the chair deals with the proposal of the government to introduce a form of optional preferential voting below the line. It does not relate to the medical procedures that Senator Sterle is describing at great length and in some great detail beyond what I am sure I senators in the chamber would be interested in so I would like to draw him to the question before the chair.
