The truth is that wages growth has been picking up as the economy has continued to improve. We want wages growth to pick up more. That is why we need businesses to be more profitable and more successful, because if they're less profitable and less successful, let me tell you, they'll hire fewer people and pay them less. That is common sense! Do you think that a less successful business will be able to hire more people and to pay them better wages? It is only in the Labor Party where that sort of logic applies.
