Labor supports this bill. Pensioners have worked hard and contributed all their lives. They deserve our respect. The age pension is a proud Labor legacy. Labor will always work to strengthen and improve the pension. Over the past eight years the government has sought to cut the pension and Labor has fought the government's pension cuts tooth and nail. I commend the bill to the Senate.
