1. The committee met in private session on Wednesday, 20 October 2021 at 7.20 pm.
2. The committee recommends that—
(a) the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Amendment (Economic Empowerment) Bill 2021 be referred immediately to the Finance and Public Administration Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 25 November 2021 (see appendix 1 for a statement of reasons for referral);
(b) the provisions of the Aged Care and Other Legislation Amendment (Royal Commission Response No. 2) Bill 2021 be referred immediately to the Community Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 16 November 2021 (see appendix 2 for a statement of reasons for referral);
(c) the provisions of the Corporations Amendment (Meetings and Documents) Bill 2021 be referred immediately to the Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 18 November 2021 (see appendix 3 for a statement of reasons for referral);
(d) the provisions of the Offshore Petroleum (Laminaria and Corallina Decommissioning Cost Recovery Levy) Bill 2021Treasury Laws Amendment (Laminaria and Corallina Decommissioning Cost Recovery Levy) Bill 2021 be referred immediately to the Economics Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 18 November 2021 (see appendix 4 for a statement of reasons for referral); and
(e) the provisions of the Telstra Corporation and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2021 be referred immediately to the Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report by 18 November 2021 (see appendix 5 for a statement of reasons for referral).
