Before I give the call to Senator McCarthy, I just want to give an indication of what I intend to do. When it was proposed that the Senate adjourn, there was only one speaker that was on the list who was in the chamber, which was Senator Scarr, who was allocated a 10-minute slot. I would ordinarily move to whoever is next on the list for 10-minute speeches, but, given the irregularity of the conclusion of the consideration of legislation, because we were in government business that was irregularly timed, I am in the hands of the Senate. If we would like to move back to the top of the list, we can do that.
