Earlier, Senator Rice held a sign during the address to the House of Representatives by the President of the Philippines, to which senators were invited. As a consequence, I am advised that the Speaker requested Senator Rice to leave, which she did. It is disappointing that Senator Rice, soon to be departing this chamber, chose to act in such a way.
