All I can take from the question I was asked that raises the figure that Senator Hume used is that the opposition have now decided that indexing the age pension or providing support to veterans is wasteful spending. That is the argument they are putting. In addition to that, I can list a range of services that were not funded properly, underinvested in or not funded at all in an ongoing way, including palliative care services and chronic healthcare services, and we are fixing all of that up in this budget.
