I present the annual report for 2005 of the Committee of Senators’ Interests.

I thank the chamber for its indulgence. I would like at this point, as we have presented the 2005 annual report, to place on record the committee’s thanks to its retiring chair, former Senator Kay Denman, and its retiring secretary, Anne Lynch, who has been farewelled on numerous occasions previously. On behalf of the committee, I would like to place on record our thanks for their extensive and professional service and welcome Dr Rosemary Laing as our new secretary.
