I want to briefly address the Senate to acknowledge that I made an honest error in failing to comply in certain respects with the reporting requirements of the Senate’s register of interests. When I checked my records earlier this week, I promptly moved to correct my return. It was an oversight that I sincerely regret and for which I take full responsibility. I have taken steps to ensure that such an error will not occur in the future.
