Mr President, I wish to correct the record and provide an explanation of an answer given by Senator Evans, the Leader of the Government. In answer to a question from Senator Humphries in question time today, Senator Evans said that his recollection was that the last SIEV that was returned from whence it came was in 2005. Senator Evans would like to correct the record, as he is advised that the last SIEV so returned was SIEV14 on 4 November 2003. On his behalf, I have been asked to apologise. Senator Evans is in cabinet and was unable to correct the record earlier, so he asked me to correct the record for him at the first opportunity.
