by leave—I advise the Senate that Senator Carr will be away for the sittings this week. He is representing Australia at the international SKA forum in the Netherlands. I have already advised party leaders of his absence in writing. I wish to indicate that Senator Carr’s ministerial and representational responsibilities will be undertaken in the following manner: Senator Conroy will have responsibility for innovation, industry science and research, Senator Faulkner for trade, Senator Arbib for education and Senator Wong for resources and energy.
