I move:
That the Senate— (a) congratulates the not-for-profit organisation Do Something! for its successful 'National Phosphate Ban' campaign which has resulted in all major players in the Australian detergent industry now implementing or agreeing to phase out phosphates in laundry detergents by 2014; and (b) calls on the Government to legislate to ban phosphate based laundry detergents.
Question put.
The Senate divided [12:13]
(The Acting Deputy President—Senator Mark Bishop)
Question negatived.
