Status of Women: Staffing (Question No. 1154)

asked the Minister representing the Minister for the Status of Women, upon notice, on 12 September 2011:
(1) What have been the changes in staffing in the Office for Women since November 2007.
(2) Why have these changes occurred.
(3) Have any voluntary or involuntary redundancies been offered to staff since November 2007; if so, how have staff been identified for such offers.
(4) Are there such plans for the future.

The Minister for the Status of Women has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:
(1) A small increase in average staffing numbers.
(2) To implement Government commitments.
(3) Yes. The identification of affected positions was in line with the Department's Staff Management Strategy.
(4) No.
