I seek leave to move a motion relating to the consideration of legislation.
Penny Wong (SA, Australian Labor Party, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) Share this | Link to this | Hansard source
Leave is not granted until we understand the motion. I understood the EMDG bill was just called on. I am here to speak on that bill. I understand Senator Xenophon has amendments. Is the government proceeding with the bill that has been called on or not?
Senator Fifield interjecting—
If you just indicate what you are moving, that is fine.

A moment or two ago I did say that intervening business be postponed until after consideration of the government business order of the day relating to the Export Market Development Grants Amendment Bill 2014.
Senator Wong interjecting—
That is right. I moved that motion. I am now moving to the one in relation to the cut-off.

The question is: is leave granted for Senator Fifield to move the motion that he has indicated he seeks to move?
Leave granted.
