Earlier today in question time, I was asked questions by Senator Wong concerning a letter which was given in evidence before a Senate committee yesterday concerning the Monis letter. The author of the email refers to Mr Michael Thawley ringing him from the PMO. I am advised that the email is not accurate in describing Mr Thawley as ringing from the PMO. Mr Thawley has an office in the cabinet suite of Parliament House, as have successive secretaries of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. The cabinet suite is not part of the PMO.
