by leave—I want to inform the chamber that I'm very honoured to have been elected as Deputy Leader of the National Party at a meeting of my party colleagues early this morning, replacing our former colleague Fiona Nash. I look forward to serving with Barnaby Joyce to deliver outcomes for regional Australia.

by leave—on behalf of the opposition, I congratulate Senator McKenzie on her appointment. On a personal level, can I say it is good to see more women in leadership positions.
