On Tuesday, 2 July, I informed the Senate that there were two nominations for one position in relation to a number of committees and that ballots would need to be held to determine which senator was to be appointed to each committee. I can now inform the Senate that I have been duly notified that an agreement had been reached between the parties and ballots will no longer be necessary. I have received further letters requesting changes in the membership of committees.
