Purpose of the Bills

The Bills:

      Reasons for Urgency

      The Bills require urgent consideration and passage to allow sufficient time for the Australian Taxation Office to update systems, develop and register withholding schedule instruments, and work with digital service providers to flow through changes to business payroll software, ahead of 1 July 2024.
