The government will be opposing this motion. From day one this has been driven by partisan state politics. The committee has used valuable and scarce resources of the Senate to hold multiple public hearings and absolutely no new information has come to light. It's time for the committee to stop spending taxpayers money and scarce Senate resources so the Senate can divert its resources to important issues within the Commonwealth jurisdiction.

The question is the general business notice of motion No. 505 standing in the name of Senator Dean Smith, and moved by Senator Askew, be agreed to.
