I thank the member for McMillan for raising this issue. I want to make sure, consistent with his career as the scrupulously independent member for Kennedy, that both sides of parliament wish him a happy birthday.

The words "scrupulously independent member" sum up Bob perfectly.
He is the only politician that I have heard members of his electorate state that they state "We love our Bob" cited to me by a Motel owner in Cairns two years ago.
He has stood up for his electorate even to the point ogf being a pain in the rear end as shown in the autobiographies of:
Don Lane
Tony Windsor and Robert Oakshot
I join in wishing Bob a belated very happy birthday for day before yesterday.
