Yesterday the member for Hotham claimed that I had misrepresented him. He stated, in support of that claim, that Labor would not abolish the Regional Partnerships program. Further, he asserted that my statement in the Mackay Daily Mercury of last Friday was false. I claimed that the member for Hotham was a hypocrite in relation to his assertion that the government had failed to fund the aquatic centre in Mackay in accordance with the Regional Partnerships program. I made the assertion that Labor, if it were elected, would abolish that program.
