I inform the House of the deaths of John Lindsay Armitage, a former member of this House, and George Conrad Hannan, a former Senator. John Armitage died on 13 April 2009. He represented the division of Mitchell from 1961 to 1963, and the division of Chifley from 1969 to 1983. George Hannan died on 1 May 2009. He represented the state of Victoria from 1956 to 1965 and from 1970 to 1974. As a mark of respect to the memory of the deceased I invite honourable members to rise in their places.
