There seems to be some emerging mythology that during question time the crossbench is only allowed one supplementary question per week. I would ask if you could clarify that with the Speaker himself. Extra supplementaries were part of the Speaker's changes. I would ask for that to be clarified for the House. My recollection is different to what seems to be emerging.

I may be able to assist the House by pointing out that in fact Speaker Slipper came into the House and added to a statement he had already made to the House about supplementary questions and made it perfectly clear in that statement that crossbench members were entitled to one supplementary question each week.
