Madam Speaker, in question time today the Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency accused me of making misleading statements about the impact of the carbon tax. The statement that Whyalla would be wiped off the map was in fact first made by the state Secretary of the Australian Workers' Union, Mr Wayne Hanson. And, as for Gladstone, this very day Queensland Alumina has announced job losses in that city.

The Leader of the Opposition will resume his seat. He needs to demonstrate where he has been misrepresented.
