I wish to inform the House that, following a competitive selection process, Ms Claressa Surtees has been appointed Deputy Clerk of the House. I am sure that members look forward to working with her in this role. I might add that she is the first female to hold that position. In accordance with resolution 3 of the House of Representatives relating to the registration of members’ interests, I have appointed Ms Surtees as Registrar of Members’ Interests.
