Mr Speaker, on indulgence, this morning Mr Bryan Nye, the former chief executive of the Australasian Railway Association, who will be known to many members of this House and indeed the Senate, lost his life to the debilitating motor neurone disease. Bryan was the CEO of the Australasian Railway Association from 2003 to 2015. He was a passionate advocate for the rail industry, whether it be passenger, freight or high-speed rail. On behalf of the parliament and all who had contact with Mr Nye, we acknowledge his passing and pass on our condolences to his family, his many friends and his professional colleagues.
