In the gallery with us today is Belynda Zolotto, who is retiring from the Department of the House of Representatives after 35 years of service. Belynda started in 1987 at Old Parliament House as a word-processing typist grade 1 before moving to this new building, which opened in 1988, to continue her parliamentary service career. Belynda went on to support a wide range of parliamentary committees and most recently joined me, the President and other long-serving parliamentary staff in cutting the cake to mark the 35th anniversary of our new Parliament House. On behalf of the House, I thank Belynda for her support of the parliament for a long period of time and wish her the very best for her well-deserved retirement.
