I have received a letter from the honourable member for Hume proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

This Government driving Australia into a per capita recession.

I call upon those honourable members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places. The mover of the MPI does not appear to be present. Members shall resume their seats. The MPI lapses for want of the mover.
