I move:
That standing order 31 (automatic adjournment of the House) and standing order 33 (limit on business) be suspended for the sitting commencing on Thursday, 22 August 2024.
For the understanding of members, the House is now in possession of a message from the Senate, which will be brought to us in a moment. I suspect, as far as I know at the moment, that that's the only one we'll be dealing with. If there are further messages in the possession of the House, I'll let people know straightaway, but my understanding is that the NDIS is the only one. My understanding is that there are two groups of amendments that will be put separately because there are different majorities and different views that people have across them, and no doubt there will be some short debate. My expectation, though, is that we will probably still be in a situation before five o'clock for me to move that the House adjourn. My apologies go to the people who were listed for the adjournment debate, because I suspect we won't have time to have that in the normal way. The most important thing is that we deal with the legislation on the NDIS that's comes back to us from the Senate.
Question agreed to.
