Really, I thought I had heard everything. To hear you, of all people, crying crocodile tears about jobs in regional Australia when you have, over the last two years, led a campaign in this chamber to close down—or prevent the development, I should say—of the Adani coalmine in central Queensland, the greatest and largest prospective source of employment in central Queensland, a region—

It is not very often that Senator Brandis talks common sense but on this occasion he is spot on. Senator Waters represents a job destroying anti economic growth party that desires nothing but government expansion. I doubt if she has ever supported any job creation other than government job creation.
Senaoor Brandis is right to rtreat Senator Waters question on job creation in the way that he does so.
