I move:

That the Senate—

(a)

notes:

(i)

the recent study by Johns Hopkins University that estimates more than 650 000 Iraqis have died since the invasion of Iraq in March 2003, as a result of the conflict and that more than a third of the deaths are attributed to the actions of Coalition forces, and

(ii)

that more than 3 000 Coalition troops have died since the invasion; and

(b)

calls on the Government to immediately withdraw Australian troops from Iraq.
