I move:

That the Senate—

(a)   notes that:

(i)

the South Australian Government has agreed to host the Asia Pacific Defence and Security exhibition and conference in Adelaide from 11 to 13 November 2008, and

(ii)

the stated object of the exhibition and conference is to provide an international forum for arms manufacturers wishing to expand their business in the Asia Pacific region; and

(b)   calls on the South Australian Government to renege on its agreement to host the exhibition and conference.
