Has the opposition been notified of this proposed change of arrangements? It looks as though the duty minister and whip over here have been caught somewhat by surprise by this change and I just happen to be in the chamber so I thought I would raise the issue.

Through you, Mr Acting Deputy President, in answer to your question, Senator Abetz, I am advised that your whip’s office was notified of the change of proceedings this afternoon.

A message has now come through indicating that we had been notified but the message had not come into the chamber.
Question agreed to.
