Business
Rearrangement

by leave—I move:
That the order of the Senate agreed to on 12 March 2009 be varied to omit paragraphs (2) (a) and (b), and substitute:
- (a)
- the hours of meeting shall be 12.30 pm to 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm to 11.40 pm;
- (b)
- the routine of business from 7.30 pm shall be government business only.
This is to ensure that there is a dinner break of one hour. The minor party and two Independents have signified that they would prefer that and we are just making sure that is the case.

The Greens will not support that motion and I indicate that I will be moving a motion for the Senate to sit an extra week, which is a much more sensible option.
Question agreed to.
