The government received the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Montara oil spill on Friday, 18 June 2010. The government is considering the report and will act promptly and appropriately on the recommendations. However, before releasing the report publicly the government has sought legal advice to ensure nothing is done to prejudice possible prosecutions flowing from other investigations for offences or undermine any natural justice considerations.
Question negatived.
