I inform the Senate that Senator Ludwig is absent on ministerial business. For question time today, and perhaps tomorrow, Senator Sherry will be taking questions on behalf of Senator Ludwig on agriculture, fisheries and forestry; Senator Wong will represent the Attorney-General and the Minister for Home Affairs; and Senator Arbib will represent the Minister for Health and Ageing. Senator Arbib is also the acting Manager of Government Business.

I seek leave to make a brief statement about the ministerial arrangements.

The coalition welcomes the fact that Senator Ludwig is finally in Indonesia dealing with this issue; as far as the coalition is concerned, this is a trip that should have taken place ages ago, but we wish him well.
