by leave—On behalf of Senator Polley and myself, from Tasmania and Queensland respectively, I table a petition of 52,000 signatures supporting the current definition of marriage as outlined in the Marriage Act—namely, that marriage means a union of a man and woman to the exclusion of all others, a union that is voluntarily entered into life.
