On behalf of the Standing Committee on Regulations and Ordinances, I give notice that, at the giving of notices on the next day's sitting, I shall withdraw business of the Senate notice of motion No. 1 for the disallowance of the Corporations Amendment (Streamlining Future of Financial Advice) Regulation 2014. I seek leave to make a short statement.

The committee has been making inquiries about the appropriateness of including certain matters in delegated legislation. While the committee retains some concerns about the use of delegated legislation in this manner, the committee has concluded its examination on the basis of the information provided. The committee's report on this matter is contained in delegated legislation monitor No. 14 of 2014.
