I move the amendment that I foreshadowed in my second reading speech:
At the end of the motion, add ", but the Senate:
(a) notes that there is significant uncertainty in relation to power of teachers to confiscate and destroy vapes found in the possession of students on school grounds; and
(b) calls on the Government to work with state and territory governments to establish a regime authorising teachers to confiscate and destroy vapes found in the possession of students on school grounds".
