I seek leave to make a short statement about my new status as an Independent senator.

I inform the Senate that I have resigned from the Jacqui Lambie Network and now sit as an Independent senator for Tasmania. I also inform the Senate that I should be designated as a whip for the purposes of standing order 24A relating to the Selection of Bills Committee.
