That the consideration of private senators' bills not proceed today.

I seek leave to amend notice of motion No. 1, to add 'for the purposes of the Aged Care Bill 2024' to clause (c) 'divisions may take place after 4.30 pm'.

Leave granted.

I move the motion as amended:

That on Thursday, 21 November 2024—

(a) the hours of meeting be 9 am till adjournment;

(b) the routine of business be as follows:

(i) government business only,

(ii) at 11.15 am, petitions,

(iii) notices of motion,

(iv) postponement and rearrangement of business,

(v) formal motions,

(vi) at not later than 12.15 pm, government business only,

(vii) at 1.30 pm, statements pursuant to standing order 57(4),

(viii) at 2 pm, questions,

(ix) motions to take note of answers, and

(x) at 3.30 pm, government business only;

(c) divisions may take place after 4.30 pm for the purposes of the Aged Care Bill 2024;

(d) if consideration of the Aged Care Bill 2024 concludes before 6 pm—the Senate return to the routine of business; and

(e) if consideration of the Aged Care Bill 2024 concludes after 6 pm—the Senate adjourn without debate.
